That all good but what stops them jumping past just the vanity items and moving to content that actually could give an unfair advantage?
As far as i know there was no prior announcement saying that the storage panes/makeover kits would appear in the store to be payed for, it just came out of nowhere...
Question is, is this the model they going to be using for guildwars 2? If so can they make an announcement or will they keep quiet like they usually do but rant and rave how this game is free to play... guildwars is now a game with an optional micro transaction model.. but they legion of anet fanboys are still misinforming people its free to play, no fees...

All I ever see you do is complain. Please stop talking.
All you are doing is shouting "hey people spent money on something I like, I'm gonna be the grinch and try and ruin the moment for it, derp derp derp dead game."
To be honest, all you are really doing is showing how you are dumb enough to sit online and complain about other people spending a small amount of money.

Don't like it, don't buy it.
Don't like the way the game is going, don't play it.
Really is that simple.

I think dwayna's costumes are great, grenth's are nice but not to my taste really. I hope they do more costumes, i'd love to see more costumes for each deity.

Do you have the notion of giving feedback on something you like that evolves in ways you don't like? If the world would be as simple as you seem to think we wouldn't exist.

That's what concerns me as well. Are we going to get new "costumes" for $14 like in GW1 or are we going to get new campaigns? And why doesn't GW1 get new real content if they want more money?

Please A-net if you realy want to make money fixe your online store, and don't come up with stupid error messages... check my name and look in your database... my old card expired so obviously the number is not the same to the last time i bought something online...

Texmod fails here as only you see the texmod. This way everyone sees it. I'll probably buy both since they don't change my armor stats, and look pretty good. And if they can be dyed thats even better.

Who ever said that you couldnt get costumes from ingame play? These are the first 2 costumes to come out.
If you want the servers shut down, then go ahead and call the people "donating" that they are dumb asses.

This is a good update. If dumb people are willing to buy shiny pixels for 10 dollars, the rest of us can continue to play the game for free. Beats 15 bucks a month.

By not buying the game you ARE giving feedback to Anet
By not playing the game you ARE giving feedback to Anet
Some of the strongest messages that can be sent, nothing in life is passive. And if to say we wouldnt exist if we treated life this way, people arent that dumb are you trying to equate not playing a video game, to letting yourself die that is a huge leap.
Dont like what hitler is doing, dont stop him != dont like a video game, dont play
get real

Well, I'd like to at least give anet my final contribution before GW2 on either this or BMP (haven't decide yet, anyone can help?), BUT fix the store first please.. I don't want just because of a game I lose my credit card's info. >_>

Maybe the fact that they've never done that before, and they said that the wouldn't, because they know that the small income from adding such a thing to the in-game store would be trivial compared to the mass exodus of players leaving GW?

Character slots? Bonus Mission Pack? Game of the Year upgrade? All cosmetic, all available from the in-game store, all non-essential, non-gameplay affecting upgrades.

It. Is. Free. To. Play. Period, full stop, end of story, there is not a damn thing you need to ever pay for besides the initial game box (or download). The second they start offering in-game gold or weapons that are "better than max" in the store, then you can whine about how the game isn't really free to play anymore because those who pay more are getting distinct advantages. Until then, how about you stop spreading misinformation about how the game isn't free to play?
The costumes look drop dead amazing. I bought 'em because, well, I felt like it. If you don't like them, or you don't want to drop $10 on them, fine, but kindly remember that if you don't buy them you are in exactly the same state that you were in prior to the costumes being introduced. Oh, I guess that's not quite right; now you can wear your festival hats without an armor/att penalty, which people have been asking for basically since the game first released.
@Necro: The NCSoft store is the one that people think might be unsafe, I don't think I've ever heard anyone claim that the in-game store is unsecure. If it's either the BMP or the costumes, I'd personally get the BMP just because the missions are pretty fun and the weapons are very nice, but it's really which shiny you'd prefer.

"Deja Vu all over again"......just substitute 'costumes' for 'extra storage tabs'. If you want/need them, then buy them, but if you don't, then don't. Nobody is being forced to buy them.

I considered buying a costume, but believe in short time there will be a flood of look-a-likes running around, so meh.

Bought both and very pleased. My congratulations to those who made them (pple who created the original concepts, pple who implented those into the game, etc) - they look very good and the clipping issues are almost inexistant (I confess I feared they will be much more problematic) - good job and thank you for your work
